Business is booming for psychics right now. Clients are making appointments left and right. There is even a psychic-related fair in Austin this weekend all because it is a new year! So, what does the crystal ball have in store for 2011?
Austin psychic, Gary Wimmer, said he has a few general predictions for the future.
“We’re moving into the age of Aquarius; everything’s going to change,” Wimmer said. “We’re going to have economic ups and downs for quite awhile. It’s not just the United States, it’s the whole world. I see a lot of change in society and that pretty much underscores everything.”
Wimmer works out of his home in South Austin and he said he has been a professional psychic for 35 years.
“I study lithomancy and it’s based on 16 stones dropped into a circle. I basically study the pattern. The pattern talks, explains and almost whispers thoughts and ideas," Wimmer said. “The reason lithomancy works, or any psychic art works, is because the world is always speaking in signs. Our subconscious picks that up all the time, 24/7, 365 days.”
Other psychics, such as Joe Nicols and Elaine Ireland, said finances, relationships, and career concerns are usually the topics that most people want to know about. Wimmer agreed.
“Most of my clients are female and most of them want to know about love and probably the most complicated question they ask is, ‘Well, does he love me?’ That’s a big question. Men and women love in different ways and it’s like it’s not a yes or no,” Wimmer said.
It is a safe prediction to say that curiosity will keep the psychics busy for the year to come.
“We’re learning to look inside ourselves more,” Wimmer said. “Psychic ability is something so natural for people, but you have to want to expand on it, learn, and practice.”
