Home sales in the Austin area went up last month. The Austin Board of Realtors reports that 1,051 homes were sold in January, a 10 percent increase from January of 2011.
The median price of those homes sold was just over $175,000. Homes were on the market for an average of 85 days, eight days shorter than in last year.
