Take This Job: Cedar Rock Railroad

Bryan Mays and Yvonne Nava become conductors on the Cedar Rock Railroad at the Southwest Williamson County Regional Park.

Ken Knowles has always loved trains. He also loves making people smile. Those two things come together with his job operating the Cedar Rock Railroad at the Southwest Williamson County Regional Park.

The train, named Sophie, takes passengers on a nearly mile-and-a-half journey around the beautiful park with Ken at the controls. He was kind enough to relinquish control for one afternoon and let Yvonne and Bryan run the show. They learned how to run the pre-ride checks, sell tickets to the train and the crank-cars and operate the train.

It was a fantastic afternoon and luckily both Yvonne and Bryan were able to keep Sophie on the tracks!
