Texas Humane Heroes has been awarded a $6,500 grant from the BISSELL Pet Foundation to help support the adoption of pets.
Through the grant, Texas Humane Heroes will be able to help make more than 70 rescue pets adoptable through the "Hero Adoption Program." The money will provide veterinary care necessary to prepare the pets for adoption.
“The greatest reward is to help our partners save thousands of animals’ lives each year by supporting their efforts,” said Cathy Bissell, Founder of BISSELL Pet Foundation in a statement. “We hope to see the day when every pet has a loving, forever home."
Kristen Huguley, executive director of Texas Humane Heroes, added, "Our organization does not receive government funding and relies on the community's support to continue our lifesaving mission. With the support of BISSELL Pet Foundation, we can take over 70 pets from a five-percent chance of life to a 100 percent chance of al loving home."
The BISSELL Pet Foundation is a nonprofit whose goal is to reduce the amount of animals that are put in shelters through pet adoptions, neuter programs, microchipping and foster care. TAP OR CLICK HERE for more information.
