APA! asking for help as they take in hundreds of animals from Hurricane Harvey

Austin Pets Alive! is asking for your help as dozens of shelter animals in the path of Hurricane Harvey are headed to Austin.

AUSTIN - Austin Pets Alive! is asking for help as they take in hundreds of animals affected by Hurricane Harvey.

APA confirmed to KVUE Friday morning that around 200 animals have already arrived at the shelter with "more to come," the shelter said. 

"Needs are increasing rapidly -- especially as a lot of these animals have not been vaccinated," a representative told KVUE.

• Large Crates 
• Canned Wet Food (Dog + Cat)
• Litter and Litter Boxes
• Chew Toys/Rawhides
• Cat Beds
• Large Trash Bags
• Clorox Wipes
