AUSTIN -- The Austin Food & Wine Festival kicked off Friday evening with gourmet nibbles and libations under the live oaks of Republic Square Park.
Foodies enjoyed culinary creations from locally and nationally-known chefs while Grammy winner Lucinda Williams provided a musical backdrop.
The festival continues through the weekend on Auditorium Shores with more than 35 cooking demos and wine/cocktail seminars.
The Tasting Pavilion will showcase more than 80 wine, spirit and artisanal food exhibitors, along with celebrated local and regional restaurants.
