AUSTIN -- A new flight is on its way from Austin to Cancun. The non-stop flight launched Friday morning out of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
A Latin band helped kick off the spirit of the flight. It's all part of an expansion at Southwest Airlines. The company recently acquired AirTran.
The Cancun stop is one of the airline's first service expansions.
