ARLINGTON - Six Flags Over Texas has been celebrating their 50th anniversary all summer long with their 50 Days of Fun promotion, but the celebration will kick into high gear this weekend and one lucky guest will drive home in a new car.
The golden anniversary celebration will wrap up this weekend with events Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Friday the park will officially celebrate the anniversary with a private reception before the Randy Rodgers band takes the stage for a concert open to the public at 7 p.m.
Saturday brings more music as Pat Green will entertain the Music Mill Amphitheatre, also starting at 7 p.m. Tickets for both concerts are $8 with park admission and available through Ticketmaster.
Finally on Sunday one park guest will drive off in a 2011 Chevy Camero. From June 18 to July 30, 50 finalists were randomly selected. These finalists will come out to the park at 10 a.m. Sunday morning to try their 50th Anniversary commemorative key to see if they've won the new whip.
