AUSTIN -- The Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is making life a lot easier for those waiting to pick up passengers from their flights.
A cell phone waiting area was opened Tuesday, designed to allow those picking up travelers to drive to and wait, free of charge, until their passenger arrives and calls to be picked up.
The waiting area is located close to the terminal and curbside. Once the driver makes contact with their passenger on the phone, they can drive to the lower level curb to pick them up.
The free cell phone waiting area is at 2801-A Spirit of Texas Drive.
