AUSTIN -- A free summer concert series is coming to Austin, made especially for kids.

The City announced Tuesday that its Music Division within the Economic Growth and Redevelopment Services Office will work with the Austin Public Library to host Music For Kids.

“The Music Division is thrilled to introduce this summer music program for kids in the city,” said Music Program Manager Don Pitts. “Music for Kids is a great way to highlight local talent and the positive influence of music on children, youth and their families.”

The series will last six weeks and will feature 17 child-friendly musical performances at public libraries around town. Performances include those by Lucas Miller, Gina Chavez and Neal Kassanoff.

Music For Kids kicks off at the Howson Branch Library on June 24. Go here for more information.
