AUSTIN -- "Much Ado About Nothing" premiered Saturday at the SXSW Film Festival, with nearly the entire cast in attendance.

Director Joss Whedon put a contemporary spin on Shakespeare's classic comedy, keeping the original dialogue intact while updating the setting. The black and white film was shot in 12 days in Whedon's home. The cast includes Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof, Nathan Fillion, Tom Lenk, Fran Kranz and other alumni from the Whedonverse.

Loyal, enthusiastic fans filled the Vimeo Theater and showered praise on the film and the director during the Q&A session after the screening. "Much Ado About Nothing" screens again Sunday and Wednesday. Visit SXSW.com for more info.
