This Float Fest lineup will make you have 2000s nostalgia

CENTRAL TEXAS - Float Fest is throwing it back to a time when Facebook was in its infancy, reality TV was just beginning to grapple the minds of youths across America, and Lil Flip, Weezer and Mike Jones could still be heard on mainstream radio.

Yes, you heard that right.

July 22 through the 23rd, all three acts will take the stage during the 2017 festival, while attendees float down the San Marcos River and camp out at Cool River Ranch.

But don't get too caught up in the 2000s nostalgia. Float Fest has something for everyone this year, including Cage the Elephant, Mac Miller and Zedd.

The controversial Central Texas fest was almost canceled last October when the Guadalupe County Commissioners Court declined to issue a mass gathering permit, citing public safety concerns and a negative impact on the river, according to KVUE's partners at Community Impact.
