Austin is a place where something is always going on. Sometimes it's hard to figure out what fun events are taking place, so we're here to help.

Take a look at some of the things going on around town Friday, Nov. 22 through Sunday, Nov. 24:

Friday, Nov. 22:

  • 2013 Wizard World Austin Comic Con at the Austin Convention Center. Comic Con will last through Sunday. Go here for info.
  • Comedian Kathy Griffin performs at the Long Center at 8 p.m. Go here for tickets.
  • 12th annual WaffleFest at 8 p.m. at Hideout Theatre on Congress Avenue. Enjoy all-you-can-eat waffles at ever show during this three-day improv comedy festival. Go here for info.
  • The Justin Timberlake Sing-a-Long at Alamo Drafthouse Slaughter Lane at 10:15 p.m. Don't worry, this isn't the only night to see the JT do his thang. Go here for show times and ticket info.
  • The Upright Citizens Brigade will be performing at the Stateside at the Paramount at 7 and 9:30 p.m. Go here for show times and ticket info. (They are also performing Saturday!)
  • A Christmas Affair 2013: Winter Wonderland at the Palmer Events Center. This four-day market is held by the Junior League of Austin through Sunday. Go here for info.
  • 4th annual Holiday Olé at the Dragonfly Gallery from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Several artists will have their handmade items for sale, with everything under $99. (Event is Saturday too!) Go here for info.
  • Master Pancake Celebrates Hanksgiving at Alamo Drafthouse (Friday and Saturday). Tom Hanks fans won't want to miss this! For more information, show times and tickets go here. 
  • "Chicago" the musical is showing at Bass Concert Hall through Sunday. For show times and tickets go here.

Saturday, Nov. 23:

  • 7th annual Lighting of the Great Tree at The Domain. Join singer Phil Vassar and children's choir Outside Voices as they sing holiday favorites. The event begins at noon. The lighting of the tree will be held around 6 p.m. Go here for more information. See KVUE's coverage here.
  • A Holiday Evening with Bob Schneider and the Moonlight Orchestra at ACL Live at 8 p.m. Go here for information.
  • Comedian, actress, writer and producer Whitney Cummings will perform at the Paramount Theatre at 8 p.m. For ticket info go here.
  • A Christmas Affair 2013: Winter Wonderland at the Palmer Events Center. This four-day market is held by the Junior League of Austin through Sunday. Go here for info.

  • Winflo Osteria will host the very first Austin Meatball Festival from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fifteen area restaurants will compete to see who makes the best meatballs. There will be live music and meaty treats during the fest. Go here for information.

  • Polkapocalypse Polka Festival from noon to 5 p.m. at the Elisabet Ney Museum. The FREE fest features live music and dancing. Go here for more information.

Sunday, Nov. 24:
