AUSTIN -- A team of four-legged friends visited a retirement home on Christmas Eve to spread some holiday cheer.
Five therapy dogs from the Austin Dog Alliance delivered Christmas cards and gifts to the Clairmont Retirement Community.
Residents spent the afternoon cuddling with the dogs and enjoying Christmas carols.
"We spread joy throughout the community with pet therapy and interactions between people and animals," said Lori Jasper with the Austin Dog Alliance. "We just want to bring smiles. We want to bring joy. We just want to have happy residents, and the clients here are just so wonderful and sweet, and they just love petting the dogs."
Non-profit group Little Helping Hands put together the Christmas cards for the residents, and Walsh Middle School students wrapped the gifts.
