CultureMap Austin -- Austin sees more than its fair share of legendary music acts pass through town, so it takes something a little special to get our undivided attention. Yes, which has been around in one incarnation or another since 1968, will do just that when they play at ACL Live at The Moody Theater on March 21, 2013.
Yes will play three of its most popular albums — 1971's The Yes Album, 1972's Close to the Edge and 1977's Going for the One — in their entirety. Yes has done many things in their long and varied career, but they've never played a complete album live, much less three.
The concert will include such hits as "I've Seen All Good People" and "Wondrous Stories," but unfortunately not their biggest hit, "Owner of a Lonely Heart," as it was part of of their 1983 album 90125. Can anybody say "Encore"?
