AUSTIN -- Jimmy Kimmel is bringing his show to Austin during South by Southwest.
Kimmel will broadcast five shows from The Long Center on March 10 through March 15. The shows will feature celebrity guests, musical performances and comedy segments from around Texas and at SXSW.
"Austin is one of my favorite cities and there is no place more fun than South by Southwest," Kimmel said. "I can't wait for March 10. I'll be the guy covered in barbecue sauce."
Kimmel also tweeted his announcement Thursday, saying, "We are bringing the show to #Austin for a week of music and meat March 10 #SXSW - can I stay with you @willienelson ?"
“I can’t think of a better, cooler way to show the world all the amazing things going on in Austin, Texas and at the Long Center,” said Long Center executive director and CEO Jamie Grant said. “We are just thrilled to be collaborating with Jimmy Kimmel Live and our good friends at SXSW.”
