AUSTIN -- Jimmy Buffett fans will have to wait a day to waste away in Margaritaville.
Officials with Live Nation and Circuit of the Americas says Buffett's concert with The Coral Reefer Band has been rescheduled for Friday, May 3, at 7 p.m.
The Austin leg of Buffett's "Songs from St. Somewhere" tour was supposed to take place May 2 at COTA's Austin360 Amphitheater. Officials say it has been postponed 24 hours because of weather conditions.
“We are honored to have Jimmy Buffett and The Coral Reefer Band and Jackson Browne and his Band at our new world-class amphitheater, and we want the dedicated fans who traveled from all over the country to see this special performance to have an enjoyable evening,” Circuit President Steve Sexton said. “We regret any inconvenience this has caused our patrons, and we will work to ensure our guests camping at Circuit of The Americas are as comfortable as possible.”
Tickets and pre-paid parking passes will still be honored Friday. Any "parrotheads" who camped out early at COTA can remain in their spots overnight Thursday into Friday at no additional charge.
Parking lots at COTA will open at 9 a.m. Friday. The Grand Plaza pre-party starts at 5 p.m.
