Rachel Scott was the first student killed in the shooting rampage at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999. Her acts of kindness on that day and the contents of her six diaries have become the foundation for one of the most life-changing school programs in the United States.
KVUE is a proud sponsor of Rachel's Challenge. Dorothy Wright, a counselor at Rockdale High School and superintendent Dr. Howell Wright, Jr. joined KVUE to speak about the program.
Rachel's Challenge will be presented to the Rockdale School District Wednesday, Oct. 5. It is a community event and will take place in the high school gym at 7 p.m.
