A Central Texas angel gained her wings Friday.

Amberlyn Fett passed away after a lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis. The 22 year old was a former Five Who Care winner  and founder of Amber's Angels, a charity that provides gifts to sick children at Dell Children's Medical Center.
Fett started the organization because she had spent far too many holidays in the hospital. She wanted to make sure other children felt like someone cared, that the holidays were special.
Her efforts provided hope to thousands of children.

She did all of this while fighting her own illness. Two years ago she had a double lung transplant. Despite going through that major surgery, she made sure children at Dell's received their goodie bags.

Debbie Fett, Amberlyn’s mom, said she made a promise to Amberlyn to keep Amber’s Angels going this year. However, because Amberlyn spent much of the past few months in and out of the hospital, Debbie hasn’t had much opportunity to work on fulfilling that promise.
