Once again KVUE is asking our viewers to help children in need by donating new and gently used coats.

The "Coats for Kids" on-air efforts are spearheaded by KVUE's staff of meteorologists. They urge everyone to donate money or a gently used coat to help children whose families couldn't otherwise afford to buy them a warm jacket.

In the 22 years KVUE has been a sponsor of "Coats for Kids," approximately 528,000 coats have been collected and distributed.

"Coats for Kids" is a partnership of KVUE, KASE radio, Jack Brown Cleaners and the Junior League of Austin.

To help, drop off a new or gently used coat at the KVUE Studios at 3201 Steck Avenue or at any Jack Brown Cleaners by Dec 3. They will get them pressed and ready for distribution to the children on December 6.
