Whole Foods is recalling peanut butter cookies, peanut butter chocolate chunk cookies and mini peanut butter cookies because of salmonella contamination concerns.

The peanut butter cookies and peanut butter chocolate chunk cookies were sold in 3 ounce containers in the self serve pastry case.

The mini peanut butter cookies were sold in small 12-pack plain brown bags featuring a cellophane window on the front and a Whole Foods Market sticker that says "mini peanut butter cookies."

The company says all of recalled cookies were sold at Whole Foods Market stores in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma before Sept. 29, 2012.

The 3 oz. Peanut Butter and 3oz. Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk cookies under the cookie PLU 47963.

The 12-pack Mini Peanut Butter cookies have a PLU of 22096100000.

Whole Foods is asking customers to throw the cookies out and bring their receipt to the store for a full refund. Customers with questions about the recall can call 512-542-0060 Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CDT.

The cookie recall is in response to a recall by Sunland, Inc., whose recalled peanut butter has been connected to 29 illnesses in 18 states.

No illnesses have been reported in relation to the cookies.
