Yesterday I told you about the AP study that found some manufacturers are replacing harmful lead in children’s jewelry with cadmium—another dangerous metal.

Today, according to the AP, Walmart and Claire's pulled those pieces from store shelves. That includes a Disney Princess and the Frog necklace.  This action has not yet been reported on the Walmart web site or the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

And China is also investigating this issue now.

However, the company told the AP that the report was troubling, “and we have a responsibility to take swift action.”
