Liquid teething rings are popular because they offer comfort to children with sore gums, but the Consumer Product Safety Commission is warning 7,000 liquid filled teething rings are being recalled because the ring may puncture.
If that happens, bacteria and mold can grow inside the teether’s untreated liquid which can lead to diarrhea and vomiting.
The Cool-it Soother by Vulli teething ring is clear and is attached to a green plastic handle in the shape of the character “Gnon”. Small children’s specialty stores nationwide and on line at Amazon.com sold from January 2008 through November 2010 for about $10.

This is not the first time a teething rings have been recalled. In fact according to the CPSC 13 different teething items recalled since 2001.
