Suzuki is trying a bold new attempt to drive up sales.

Earlier this month the company launched its “Kizashi Test Drive Challenge” incentive program. It will offer $250 dollars to anyone who test drives the 2010 Suzuki Kizashi but ends up buying a competing car.

We’re talking any competing car including the 2010 Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima, Mazda6, Ford Fusion, or Chevrolet Malibu -- cars that were all part of the USA Today/Cars.com/MotorWeek $25,000 Family Sedan Shootout. The Hyundai Sonata won the overall challenge, so that is not part of the deal.

The offer is good through the end of the month, July 31st. you have to go to a Suzuki store, fill out a form, test drive a Kizashi and then prove you’ve decided to purchase one of those other cars within three days.

Then Suzuki will give you a $250 debit card.
