You may be able to save some money on your cell phone plan.
Verizon Wireless was the first to announce it was cutting prices on its unlimited calling plans. The Nationwide Unlimited Talk plan will now cost you $70 a month instead of $100 a month. The Talk & Text plan now costs $90 a month down from $120 a month. The Nationwide Unlimited Talk Family SharePlans will cost $120 a month with the Unlimited Talk & Text Family SharePlans costing $150 a month.
AT&T also announced price drops on many of its plans this week. The unlimited calling plan now costs $70 a month, down from $100.
For smart phones the prices will ultimately be higher than this because you’ll need to add data and in some cases texting. However, the great news is all you have to do to get the new rates-- is call. Both companies say they will not extend the life of your contract.
