Growing up as a kid I loved spending time in the kitchen with my mom and little sister. It's probably why to this day I enjoy cooking.

For Christmas my mom created cookbooks for all of us kids with terrific family recipes. So I thought it might be fun for others do the same for their families or even their mom's this Mother’s Day.

There are several web sites that allow you to create your own on line by downloading recipes even pictures to help personalize it.

One site is called Tastebook.com.

It lets you create a hardcover cookbook with your own recipes and photos. You can even download some of your favorite recipes from the Food Network.

It costs between $20 and $35 depending on how many recipes you'd like to include plus shipping.

Shutterfly offers a similar service.

So does Blurb.

So if you've ever wanted to make sure your family recipes live on, this could be just what you needed to make sure they do.
