As prices at the pump continue to rise many of you may be wondering about where to find the cheapest gasoline.
There are lots of web sites out there. At KVUE.com you can find gas prices around the area as posted by consumers on Gas Buddy.com.
This site has improved drastically over the years. People now post the day and time they saw the price at the pump. Just keep in mind it is reliant on people’s posts and they are not always accurate.
Some websites like Motortrend
AAA for example puts out a daily fuel gage report which "compiles information from 110,000 stations" but you always see the previous day's prices.

OPIS also offers an iPhone app which will help you find the ten cheapest gas stations near you.
The company does provide real time station specific data to companies like Garmin and TeleNav. It is captured almost as soon as a person's credit card is swiped at more than 125,000 locations. In some places where stations don't have updated technology the information is from transactions that took place between one and five days ago. The majority of prices are no older than 3 days.
