If you bought a Groupon coupon to help you save on Valentine’s Day flowers you could be in for a refund.
The company along with the FTD Group Inc. say they didn’t do anything wrong, but the on line complaints tell a different story. Some Groupon customers who used a coupon for $20 off an FTD flower purchase of $40 or more say the flowers they bought showed up as sale items on FTD’s own web site. Only they didn't get the sale price.
So the company now plans to give customers the sale price even if they didn’t ask for it. The company estimates a few hundred bought the sale items and will get the credit to their charge accounts.
The complaints started rolling in Thursday and are proof it can pay to complain.
