General Motors is recalling 426,240 cars because of problems with the tabs on the transmission shift cable.
The recall involves 2007-2010 Saturn Aura, 2008 to 2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 vehicles with 4 speed automatic transmissions. The tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate which means the actual position of the transmission gear may not match. That could cause a vehicle to roll away when you think the car is in park.
GM will notify owners but you can call 1-800-521-7300 for more information.
