Movies in the park
The Austin Parks Foundation hosts movies in the park every month. This Thursday, September 6 from 6 to 8pm at Republic Square at 422 Guadalupe Street, you can see a special preview screening of this year’s upcoming ACL with various bands, including festival headliner Radiohead. Dogs, picnics and lawn chairs are welcome. Alcoholic beverages, glass and Styrofoam are not permitted in the park. For more information visit AustinParks.org.
Also Metz Movies Under the Stars has an event again this week with movies in the park. This Friday, September 7th they’ll be showing Lady and the Tramp (feel free to bring your dog). These free movie screenings on Friday nights continue through November. Movies begin at dusk (about 8:20pm) bring your own seating. Get more information here.
Free concerts
The Hill Country Galleria will host free concerts in their outdoor amphitheater on Saturday nights this fall. Bring a blanket and enjoy this free Saturday Night Concert Series, sponsored by KDRPlive.org. Saturday, September 8 you can see Kolby Gray perform. The music begins at 7pm. St. Michael's Catholic Academy at 3000 Barton Creek Boulevard
At the event, you will find:
