Road trip activity book

This is a pretty long road trip activity book that you can download free. It has all kinds of games to keep your kids busy on the road – from scavenger hunts they can do along the way, to puzzles and word searches. It’s sure to keep them entertained for hours.

BOGO Breakfast deal

Mimi’s Café is having a buy one breakfast get one free deal Wednesday, November 17th. It’s an all day deal but you will need this coupon.

BOGO Starbucks Deal

From Thursday, November 18th until Sunday, November 21st Starbucks is offering a buy one holiday drink get one free deal between 2pm and 5pm. Thanks Lyle for the tip!

Whataburger deals

Whataburger is opening a new store in Dripping Springs at 598 Highway 290 at the intersection of Creek Road and Highway 290. So it’s offering some incredible deals all week long.

  • Wednesday, November 17 from 3 to 5 p.m.  -  Free cookie
  • Thursday, November 18 from 7 to 10 a.m.  -  Buy one, get one free Taquitos
  • Friday, November 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. -  Family Night with Games2U

Whataburger will have a prize wheel on Friday, November 19, where customers can win free food and Whataburger memorabilia. The first 50 people at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. (dine in only) will also get a free Whataburger. Customers who bring a canned good to support Hope & Love 4 Kids food drive can register to win free Whataburger for a year. Thanks Devin for the tip!

Free Child Safe Kit

Child Safe is giving away free child safe kits. These kits allow you to add your child’s picture and fingerprints and any identifying marks that may help police should you ever need it. It’s not something parents like to think about but this is a good idea to keep handy and to keep updated.

Pottery Barn class for kids

Pottery Barn is having another free class for kids this weekend. It’s their Lego Duplo event and kids will get a special keepsake to take home. Space is limited so you’ll want to register here.

Holiday sample event

Sam’s Club is having a Holiday tasting event this weekend at stores across the country. The idea is to give you a taste of the holidays from appetizers to desserts. The event runs from November 19th through the 21st. Find a location near you here.

Pflugerville Pfall Pfest

This weekend Pflugerville is having its Pfall Pfest. It’s a great way to get some unique gifts for the holidays. It’s Saturday from 9am to 3pm at the Pflugerville Recreation Center on 400 Immanuel Road. Admission is free!

Star Party

Fridays and Saturdays while UT is in session the Department of Astronomy hosts free viewing on the Painter Hall Telescope. This is open to the general public but is closed when UT plays at home at night. UT plays in the afternoon this weekend so that means this Saturday, November 20 from 8pm – 10pm is one of those nights to take advantage of this. Painter Hall is located at the corner of 24th street and Inner Campus Drive just north of the UT Tower. Take the elevator to the 5th floor and exit left. Follow the 5th floor hallway to the end and take the staircase through the double doors on the left. Once you reach the 6th floor, go to your right and follow the signs up to the telescope.

Eversave deal

Eversave Austin is offering a one day deal Wednesday, November 17th. You can get a one hour cleaning from the Kleen Up Woman which normally costs $50 for just $20.

Travel Deals

Southwest Airlines is still offering the $59 one way airfare to a lot of places. You have until November 22nd to purchase and can travel between December 1st and February 16th. There’s a pretty big blackout period from December 17th through January 1st.
