Tonight the Consumer Product Safety Commission is reminding parents and caregivers about a recall issued 8 years ago because there is fear some of these cribs are still in homes or even being sold in second-hand or thrift stores.
The cribs were made by LaJobi Inc. and are called “Molly” and “Betsy” cribs. As many as 400 may still be out there.
According to the CPSC the latest incident happened in 2003 when a one-year old girl died after her head and neck became entrapped in the headboard of one of these cribs.
If you have one of these, stop using it. Or see them at a second hand or thrift store let them know they’ve been recalled. The model numbers are below.
