Two toys are being recalled this afternoon because they contain potential choking hazards.
The first recall involves 66,000 Evenflo ExerSaucer 1-2-3 Tea for Me Activity Learning Centers.
The problem is one of the attached toys may pose a choking hazard. The problem is the candle flame attached to the top of the cake toy. Evenflo has received 11 reports of the toy flames detaching. No children have been injured.
The model numbers affected are 6161834 and 6161920. You’ll find the model numbers printed on the packaging and on a label located on the underside of the base of the product.
Toys ‘R Us sold these activity centers between December 2007 and March 2009.
If you have one of these Evenflo says to remove the cake toy immediately and call (800) 233-5921 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday for a free replacement. You can also find more information here.
Frog Book
The second recall involves about 142,000 “Monday the Bullfrog" Plush Books.
The plastic eye on the frog can detach and pose a choking hazard to young children. This has happened three times so far, but no children have been injured.
Bookstores and online retailers sold them between January 2006 and November 2009.
Still Simon & Schuster Inc. says you should keep the book out of a child’s reach and call the company at (800) 732-9531 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday for a free replacement product.
