Where you live, or maybe I should say where you trick or treat could determine how well you do when it comes to the candy you score.

For the second year in Zillow.com has come up with its list of the top 20 cities to Trick-or-Treat.

The study looks at home values, the population density of an area, the walkability of a city and local crime data all to find out where you score the most loot. They say it’s not about ending up in the most expensive neighborhoods, but those where you can cover the most ground in a short amount of time, safely.

Austin ranks 18th overall.

Here’s a look at which other cities made the top 20 list:

  1. Seattle, WA
  2. San Francisco, CA
  3. Portland, OR
  4. San Jose, CA
  5. Denver, CO
  6. Sacramento, CA
  7. Chicago, IL
  8. Boston, MA
  9. Albuquerque, NM
  10. Milwaukee, WI
  11. San Diego, CA
  12. Los Angeles, CA
  13. Atlanta, GA
  14. Philadelphia, PA
  15. Cleveland, OH
  16. Austin, TX
  17. San Antonio, TX
  18. Phoenix, AZ

Zillow.com also came up with its list of the top 5 best Austin neighborhoods to trick-or-treat.
