Apparently all of the drop side cribs have yet to be recalled.
Tonight the Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling 11,400 Jardine Enterprises drop-side cribs sold under the Alexander Designs Ltd. Brand name. They were sold at JCPenney stores from March 2003 through April 2007.
The drop-side rail hardware may break or fail. The CPSC has received two reports of problems. In one the crib was not assembled correctly. In the other the plastic hardware broke and the side rail fell unexpectedly. No children were hurt.
The recall includes the Alexander 3-in-1 Crib model number 343-8359 in honey pine and white; the Alexander Classic Crib model number 343-8180 in cherry, white and honey pine; and the Alexander Sleigh Crib model number 343-8802 in cherry and white.
Alexander Designs Ltd.” and the JCPenney catalog/item number are printed on a label on the crib’s headboard.
