Nearly half a million infant car seats are being recalled because the handle may loosen and cause a child to fall out.
The seats are all manufactured by Dorel but are sold under several different names including Safety 1st, Cosco, Eddie Bauer and Disney. They were sold at various retailers from January 2008 to December of this year. The model numbers are below:

Dorel has received 77 reports of handles fully or partially coming off the car seat/carrier and at least three infants have been injured. One child suffered a head injury.
