Here’s a baby product recall that hit a little too close to home for me, since my husband and I just bought one of these.
About 337,000 B.O.B. single and double strollers are being recalled because of a potential strangulation hazard. There’s a drawstring attached the top canopy that may get wrapped around a child’s neck. It happened to an 11-month old girl whose mother managed to free her.
The recall involves 11 models sold at REI, Buy Buy Baby, Babiesrus.com, Target.com and Amazon.com between April 2002 and February 2011.
If you have one of these you should stop using it until you make the necessary changes. If you just use the stroller you need to remove the drawstring. To get instructions you need to fill out a form online here.
If you use the stroller and the weather shield you need to remove the drawstring and Install a canopy retrofit kit.
And if you use the stroller with the sun shield you also need to remove the drawstring and install a canopy retrofit kit.
