If you recently bought an Acer notebook computer you may want to check to see if you have one of the 22,000 being recalled.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission says an internal microphone wire under the palm rest can short circuit and overheat. This has happened three times with no injuries.
The recalled notebook computer models are the Acer AS3410, AS3410T, AS3810T, AS3810TG, AS3810TZ and AS3810TZG.
These computers were sold in June 2009 through October 2009 at ABS Computer Technologies, D&H Distributing, Fry’s Electronics, Ingram Micro, Radio Shack, SED/American Express, Synnex Corporation, SYX Distribution, Tech Data Corporation and Amazon.com.
