Losing Connections

I don’t think it surprised anyone that Bentley was down for a free vacation to Hong Kong. He decided to fly half way around the world to point out the obvious to Ashley…that the dot dot dot stood for NOT INTO YOU! I do feel sorry for her. She clearly had real feelings for that guy and read him the wrong way from the start, even after her friend warned her. It’s sad really. She wasted a LOT of time and emotional energy on a guy who was never going to love her back. I’m sure ABC would have preferred that he just call and dump her as well. It would have saved them a lot of money. Thankfully, she had a boat load of other guys waiting to win her heart. Boats seemed to be the theme this week. Her first one on one date with Lucas was a boat ride in the Hong Kong harbor, where they shared their first kiss and some other boring stuff. Her group date involved dragon boat races and the ditched bachelor, Blake, made his exit in a water taxi. I’m surprised more of the guys didn’t jump ship like Mickey did. I always thought that Ben and Constantine looked alike, but this week when they were paired up for the dragon boat challenge, I couldn’t help but to think that they both looked a little bit like the cavemen from the Geico commercials. It didn’t help matters that they failed miserably and the only thing they managed to accomplish was finding matching red silk robes…like Asian Hugh Hefners. Ames took things to new heights…48 floors to be exact. He stole her away on the group date and took her up to the rooftop to take in the views and some kissing. There is something a little off about that guy. I think he’s a great guy, but he reminds me of the sloth from Goonies….Rocky Road! Maybe he's still recovering from that head injury. JP got the first repeat one on one, which showed the guys that he was a front runner. She decided to try and ruin everything by opening up to him and telling him about Bentley, but thankfully for her, JP was extremely understanding. He was honestly just happy for her that she found the closure she needed and was able to move on with no secrets between them. The other guys however, were not so happy when they found out. Every guy’s insecurities came flying out. They were all upset, especially Lucas and they were all trying to decide what they were doing there. Leave it to Ryan to step up with his smiling face to tell Ashley it was gonna be okay. Meanwhile Mickey was packing his bags, Lucas was throwing a fit, and Ryan's ego was completely blown...he had to go. I hope Ashley gets her act together in Taiwan. I don’t think these guys or I can stand too many more weeks of this.
