Can't Fight The Feelings

I’ve seen my name spelled a lot of different ways, but never Chrystie. I think the Devil spelled it that way. I know Ashley’s sister Chrystie was trying to protect her, but she was more like a honey badger attacking a snake. I love JP! I don’t understand what possessed her to make such a snap judgment about him. She asked JP one question about whether or not he made Ashley laugh and that was it…done! He’s not the guy for you! Not everyone is a freaking comedian Chrystie. My favorite line was when she said to JP, “I think she’s too much for you. Can you handle that much fun?” Seriously? What is sooooo much fun about Ashley? I don’t get it….at all! The worst part was when JP tried to redeem himself and express his desperate desire to try to turn things around and make her see that he and Ashley were meant for one another, but no! She’s shuts him down again! She tells him that there is nothing he can do. Apparently 15 minutes is all she needed to decide her sister’s fate. She’s been married and divorced and now she thinks that makes her an expert on love and relationships. She thinks JP is old and set in his ways and doesn’t think he has any business with her “much younger” sister. Are you kidding me?! Brad Womack is 38! You didn’t have a problem with him…in fact you thought he was perfect apparently. Way to throw that knife in the guy’s heart. Awful! As if we haven’t seen enough terrible behavior this season, the last place I expected to see it was from Ashley’s own family. Before Ben even arrived, you knew he was going to have it easy. The family was all smiles and Chrystie was bound and determined to prove she was right. Between all the forced laughter and puppy dog voices, I found myself hoping the show would just end already. Having to watch them all sweat to death on camera was painful enough. Maybe that’s why Chrystie was so angry…the bitch was hot! When Ben came around, they were all chilling out indoors where it was cool. JP had to sit outside at the picnic table in the blaring sun while he was interrogated for being old and humorless. Ben got to hang out on the dock in the shade and dip his feet in the water, while they talked about their effortless chemistry. Go figure she liked the wine maker over the construction manager…she may have been a little more focused on the “lifestyle” she wanted for her sister, than her sister’s happiness. I knew Ashley was going to pick JP from the moment her sister made her cry, but I still hated watching her dump Ben. First of all, why the hell did she make the guys do all the talking? Wasn’t this her chance to finally speak up? But no, she lets Ben cut her off, get down on one knee and propose! It was soooo heart breaking to watch. From the moment he stepped off the plane and he kept talking about how sure he was about his feelings for Ashley, it made me sick. I hate the way they string people along on this show. The guy had no clue. He’s just kneeling there on his knee with ring in hand saying, “Marry me and make me the happiest man in the world” and she just stares down at him and says she’s sorry. Wow! I can’t even imagine what that must have felt like. I’m so proud of him for having the dignity to just walk away and so ashamed of the way Ashley chased after him, trying to comfort him by telling him that he was so “interesting”….really?! That’s the best you could do after stringing this guy along? Didn’t you have some kind of speech prepared? Anything would have been better than that. Kudos to him for letting her know, “Good things don’t end, unless they end badly”. I’m surprised Ashley was able to compose herself by the time JP’s plane landed. He was so confident; he was holding the ring box in his hand as he stepped onto the dock. Ashley had to worst poker face. She leaned in and kissed him immediately. I think she was as ready as the rest of us for this season to finally be over. The proposal was super sweet and beautiful...but then again we knew it was going to be. They really do make a cute couple. My favorite part was when they were walking along the beach holding hands and he said, “When you walked into the room the first night and said I know my husband is in this room…I thought to myself, what the F@*! is she talking about? And now it’s me!” I can’t fight this feeling anymore. It’s pure joy that this season is over! I hope Ashley and JP enjoy their new life together in NYC. She should have just read my first blog and saved herself a lot of heartache. I picked JP on day one. Ha Ha! Christie - 1 Chrystie - 0.
