I think every season of The Bachelorette should begin with the guys getting out of the limo and taking their shirts off. That way we wouldn't have to wait until the very end to see who the real douchebags are. I can honestly say that I think Emily got a handsome crop of guys, but some were a bit creepy. And maybe it's just me but a lot of them seemed to be walking a bit funny up those front steps. I don't know if they were just nervous or if they were trying to strut or they just had to pee, but that alone was a big turn off for me with some of them. As if that weren't bad enough, the stunts and gimmicks, just made me uncomfortable...I mean the guy with the ostrich egg was just sad. I know he was really trying to come up with something unique, but if we didn't learn from the guy with the mask, what are we really doing here? Watching The Bachelorette should be a lesson on what not to do in dating. Watch the show and then don't EVER do anything remotely like that. I'll give some props to the guy with the kid for having his son write her a letter. She's not going to cut that dude for fear of looking insensitive...and the helicopter was cheesy, but kind of cool I guess. All in all the first episode is always hard to judge. I think that Nate is maybe a front runner only because she really seemed to think he was cute and the muscly guy with the folded up note in his pocket probably won a few points as well. I wasn't really looking forward to this season originally because I thought Emily was being a bit of hypocrite. When she came off Brad's season she said she wanted it all to end and go back to a normal life and then she changes her mind and comes back on the show...in the spotlight no less. However, I was pretty proud of her for bringing the show to Charlotte and not taking more time away from her kid. I think if there was a way for a single mom to do this show, she's actually going about it in a better way. So I'll support her trying to find love and if the previews are any indication, I'm actually looking forward to seeing her "not so sweet" side come out. It just makes for good TV.
