Texas went from summer to winter in a matter of hours early Tuesday, as a cold front swept through and knocked temperatures down into the 50s.
Monday saw record highs of 85° at both Camp Mabry and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, but the high on Tuesday was recorded in the low 70s, shortly before the front passed.
The cold front did bring some rain with it, but there is still a chance for showers going into the middle part of the week.
Communities around Austin could also pick up as much as 1 inch of rainfall this week. It's something your yard will likely appreciate quite a bit after the past couple of months.
This time it looks like the cool weather sticks around for at least the next weekend.
