On Friday, the Liberty Hill Lady Panthers will return to a familiar place better than before. The UIL State tournament has held a spot for the girls for three straight years, and a total of six appearances on the big stage.

However, with each trip they've left empty handed. Last season they lost to Argyle in the state semi-finals. In order to get revenge, they have to get through Godley, as Argyle plays Wharton in the other semi-final matchup.

The Lady Panthers feel stronger and more experienced despite losing 10 players from the 2016 team.

Tipoff against Godley is set for Friday at 3 p.m. in San Antonio.
