The motorcyclist killed in a multi-vehicle crash on state Highway 130 Thursday night has been identified.

Georgetown officials said Friday that Johnie Ray Franklin, 50, was traveling at a high-rate of speed on SH 130 as traffic was slowing for a vehicle fire further down the road. Franklin was unable to stop and struck the back and side of the first vehicle. He was then thrown into the back of a second vehicle.

He was taken to the Seton Hospital of Williamson County where he died.

None of the passengers in the other two vehicles were injured.

Police do not believe alcohol or drugs were involved.
