Great-grandma with arthritis arrested for having CBD oil at Disney World

There is still debate over what forms of CBD are legal in Florida and for whom, and a woman recently got caught in the middle of it.

A 69-year-old North Carolina woman was recently arrested at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom after she was found with CBD oil.

Hester Jordan Burkhalter was charged with possession of hashish. She was arrested on the morning of April 15 after she laid her purse on a table for inspection and a security worker found the CBD oil, according to an Orange County arrest report, which said she also trespassed from Disney property.

The charge has since been dropped.

According to the New York Post, the great-grandmother has arthritis and began using the CBD oil after her doctor recommended it. The publication says she had a medical note, but it didn't prevent her arrest.

Burkhalter spent 12 hours in jail before she was released on bond.
