On Friday, Hurricane Harvey became the first Category 4 hurricane to make landfall in the U.S. since Hurricane Charley in 2004.

It made landfall near Rockport, Texas, Friday evening and was downgraded to a Category 1 storm shortly after 5 a.m. on Saturday with gusts as strong as 120 mph.
