A Williamson County Correctional Officer has found himself on the other side of the law after he allegedly showed up to work intoxicated, the sheriff's department confirmed Thursday.

According to deputies, coworkers of the deputies noticed unusual behavior from the officer around 4:45 p.m. Other officers escorted him to the administrative offices for a review by senior command staff.

Afer the review, Sheriff Robert Chody made the decision to charge the officer with public intoxication and place him in the Williamson County Jail.
