If you'd like to take a trip back in time, consider heading out to the Williamson Museum on The Chisholm Trail.
Dozens of people attended the grand opening Saturday morning.
The museum allows visitors to take a look at two of Round Rock's oldest homes, one built in the 1850s and the other in the 1870s.
"I think this is going to revolutionize this part of Round Rock by beginning to tell the story," The Williamson Museum's Executive Director Mickie Ross said.
While you walk through, you can interact with living characters who helped shape Round Rock and Williamson County.
History buffs say this is a perfect opportunity to connect the past with the present.
"If you don't know where you've been you don't know where you're going and people need to know that kind of stuff," Fawkes said.
The museum is an extension of the Williamson Museum in Georgetown and is the nonprofit’s first satellite museum.
