Deputies looking for woman who fled crash site in Northwest Austin Saturday, sheriff says

Williamson County deputies are still looking for a woman who fled the scene of a violent car wreck Saturday morning.

AUSTIN — Williamson County Sheriff's Office deputies are searching for a woman who ran off after a car crash, Sheriff Robert Chody said on Twitter.

A car was found flipped on its top in the Rattan Creek subdivision near McNeil Drive and Parmer Lane on Saturday just after 11 a.m.

Sheriff Chody said the male driver collapsed near the scene of the crash. Deputies found him unconscious at the scene, and medics took him to a Round Rock hospital.

Deputies said the woman, identified as Kelsey Thelen, who they believe was traveling with the man, fled the scene in a yellow-type prom dress.

Monday at 10:45 a.m., Sheriff Chody said she has not been found yet, and they're concerned for her safety.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact 911.
