AUSTIN – An Austin ISD bus was involved in a crash in northeast Austin on Wednesday morning, and two people were taken to the hospital.

Authorities said the crash happened around 6:30 a.m. Aug. 23 at the intersection of Cameron Road and the U.S. 183 service road. EMS told KVUE’s partners at the Austin American-Statesman five adults and four children were involved in the crash, and two of the adults and two of the children were on the bus.

Austin ISD told KVUE the bus was heading to Ortega Elementary School in East Austin.

EMS told the Statesman that two adults were taken to St. David’s Medical Center, and that they are expected to be okay. It is not known if they were on the bus.
